I was studying the book of Proverbs written by the wise king Solomon. I wanted to live a life of wisdom in the way the Lord wants me to live. I was so glad when I realize that living a successful and wise life not so difficult as I dream it to be. It could even be learn from small creatures which are least recognized on the surface of the earth.
In the book of proverbs, King Solomon mentioned the some
little creatures that are extremely wise. After thinking upon these creatures, I have also learned many things and would like to share a few;
"Ants are creatures of little strength,
yet they store up their food in the summer"
Ants are small but they are always known for their unity, hard work and their storage of food for summer or the rainy season. From these little creatures, I realized that life in not always going to be full of blessings. Even as a Christians, we should not always say that the Lord will provide and waste our resources. We ought to store up the excess blessings unless we give to other less fortunate people around us. Besides, it also implies that having a saving account is necessary for a wise and normal human to do.
"hyraxes are creatures of little power,
yet they make their home in the crags"
Hyraxes are small creatures that lived in the cracks of rocks. These creatures may be weak yet they survive because type of home they chose. As a Christian, it may be difficult to survive all the temptations and hardships around us, but choosing the right environment or right friends can keep us away from many kinds of evil.
" locusts have no king,
yet they advance together in ranks"
In a Christian society or a Church, we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. But that doesn't mean we should do whatever we feel like. We should follow the rules and regulations of humanity, respect one another and advance together like a well disciplined army. For this, we need to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift us up.
